A full tang knife has been at the top of the wish list for Mora's most dedicated users for a long time.
Now finally it’s here, and we’re convinced that Garberg, with its sturdy design and shock-resistant material, will be greatly enjoyed by both experienced and new members of Team Mora.
The Morakniv Garberg is a powerful full tang knife, designed to withstand the toughest challenges imaginable.
Its blade is 3.2 mm thick and made of high quality stainless steel, specially treated in Mora's factory to make it even stronger.
The blade has a special Scandi-grind, making the knife easier to keep sharp.
Also, the spine of the blade has been ground to be used with a fire starter, so your essential fire is never far away.
The Multi-Mount is a versatile mounting solution that will take your Garberg to the next level. It makes it possible to place and carry the knife practically anywhere you like and it's also compatible with the standardized MOLLE system. The Multi-Mount also has strategically placed holes and slots for different types of straps.

Fantastic knife, i also have the carbon version too plus several other mora knives, they are all great value & amszingly built considering the price. The garberg stainles is a favourite tho & the one i now use most. 5 star knife & once again great service from heinnie , ive purchased a few items from them & love the website, easy ordering & always deliver quicker than quoted fantstic all round
Superb knife for the money. 90% the knife of one of the other Scandinavian brands for a third of the money. I'd buy another if I lost it. There are some very good on line video reviews of these knives and from my comparisons they are quite accurate and unbiased. Put some camo tape on the handle and it's even better
The knife itself is worth five stars, it's fantastic. The problem I have is with the polymer sheath. It really does need a thumb push point like the Mora Companion HD does. Instead it takes considerable effort with one hand. You end up having to use both hands for speed and ease. This oversight really does take the shine off this knife for me.
This thing takes an edge with such ease, would be amazing on expedition work . Solid solid blade.
Even if I'm not a big Mora knives, this one looks very well. And I expect to be a very good too. *
I have several Mora products and have been impressed with their cheap razor sharp and reliable performance. I usually have the Mora companion when going out and about, this has taken no end of feather sticking, batoning and even use in the kitchen when away from home! I did snap the very edge of the tip off but I was whacking it with a roofing hammer (not recommended) I saw the Garberg and the allure of a full tang Mora won me over. I went with the multimount version because its easy to wash out when muddy and drys a lot faster than leather will. the blade is really thick and the spine really sharp which will amaze you with the shower of sparks a firesteel will give from it. the blade as per usual from Mora is really sharp with no need to touch up. The steel is an in house blend which is corrosion resistant and more resilient than the companions. if you want a really good demonstration head over to youtube and check the 2 videos uploaded by Dutch bushcraft (2 mad men enjoying the woods). their reviews swung it for me I was so impressed I ordered one despite it costing a fair bit more than a companion. for me this is possibly the last "user" knife that I will need when out in the woods. highly recommended!.
A simple , solid, easy to keep and dextrous handling knife, with good steel and a tough handle, a bit rough on some areas of finish (the profile grinding on the spine and pommel has a bit of a feathered edge but go's with use as it is tiny) the scandi grind is a bit grainy and again will only get better with use, the micro bevel adds toughness to the edge and makes little noted difference to its cutting form, a good woodland knife and could cut it as a survival blade, should last a life time, and the sheath system is ace!
Really happy with my Mora Garberg & Companion HD, already had the std Companion & Bushcraft Black (underated). Well finished & as good as knives cost two or three times the money. Don't get too into the full tang issue the Morakniv range are really good, sheaths work well & knives are comfortable to use, leave it at that. Would like to buy a Pathfinder but would prefer a part serrated blade. Excellent service from HH, delivered next day.
