The Mora Companion Stainless Fixed Blade is the ideal 'use and abuse' knife for the pack or pocket.
Mora knives are cheap to buy yet tough in use. They use a tough plastic handle and sheath but really work above their weight where steel is concerned. The Mora Companion uses a stainless steel which is super sharp plus the handle and sheath are brightly coloured meaning it should never be lost if dropped.

As a sea fisherman, I bought one of these as a bait knife for my tackle box a couple of years ago and it has been simply unbelievable. It has been subjected to sand, salt water, rocks , complete carelessness and abuse. The orange colour makes it hard to lose and the total resistance of the blade to saltwater (even when left for a couple of weeks half immersed) is simply astounding. It cuts bait/scales and guts the catch (when lucky) and it survives the dishwasher when I can remember to chuck it in. Best knife I ever bought.....it's gone from cheap function knife to a well cherished tool
I needed a stainless decent fixed blade for canoe touring. As it's on the water and generally going to have a hard life, I didnt wan t anything too expensive or that I'd be worried lending out. This fits the bill perfectly. HiViz sheath and handle ends make it easy to find, Comfortable rubberised grip, good for wet hands. Sharp. What's not to like.
Bought this knife after reading all the reveiws on Bushcraft forums as my first. The knife is sharp as a razor and really solidly built. I'll look forward to using it over the coming winter. 1st time I've used HH, again due to recommendations, and I am very impressed with both the communication and the speed of postage. Despite buying the cheaper option at checkout, it was still with me next day! Keep up the good work.
I had one of the previous versions of this knife with the nobbly grip and loved it. I used it all the time, I gave it to a friend who needed a blade for canoeing trips. I missed using it so much I purchased a second one of these. The blade is sharp out of the box and sharpens really easily on a kitchen steel. It has a bright orange sheath so it makes it hard to misplace and is well designed with a belt clip and drain hole in the bottom. A low cost and valuable asset that you will be genuinely surprised that you didn't get one sooner!
THIS KNIFE IS GREAT...Strong, Fits in the hand perfectly, well thought out, well made and is shaving shape. I split wrist thick pine logs, made feather sticks for my wood burning stove, chopped the veg Peeled the potatoes and cut the steak into chunks for my stew all with this under £15 little knife... And bought it for my tool box!!!
I have a green MORA KNIFE. I hunt and shoot, the knife is a good waterproof fit in the sheath, and the blade has an excellent sharp edge which is easy to sharpen. An excellent knife, I wouldn't be without it.
