The Midgards-Messer Vardo Folder is their Balance Line novelty for 2025 and has jimpings on the back of the blade that are decorative and at the same time ensure optimal grip during cutting work. It has bevels around the edges and a black G10 handle with an elaborately milled texture. A red G10 spacer makes the knife a real eye-catcher, and the milled clip allows it to be carried in a rucksack or trouser pocket. In order to optimally secure the knife, a bolt has been inserted to lock the blade, which makes the knife 42a compliant.

A bit of a beast? Or just full on beast?

This knife by Midgards Messer is rock solid I know there's no such thing as an unbreakable knife because I've watched Joe X destroy so many tough knives. However I'm pretty sure that under even heavy usage this Vardo is more than tough enough to last a life time. It's nice and sharp with a 6mm thick blade at the spine. I love the drop point tanto. Midgards Messer are only making 150 of these and at £109.95 it's a hell of a lot of limited edition knife for the price.
