The Midgards-Messer Sliding Knife is a limited edition folding knife with a twist (or a slide). Based on a design found during an excavation of a Viking settlement in Denmark. This folding adaption features a similar blade shape and a matching emblem on the handle. Dirk Hofmeister adapted it to a folding knife with a new and mechanically complex mechanism that results in the “Sliding Knife”, a pocket knife that the Vikings would certainly have got a kick out of.
This limited run model has a G10 handle, and N690 steel blade. It also features all of the hallmarks of Midgards-Messer design, including a 5mm thick blade and a reasurringly weightiness.
