    Excellent multipurpose gloves

Posted by pbones on 6th Feb 2015

I've got a couple of pairs of these now and use them all the time. I do a lot of off trail running and they're excellent for palming branches and brambles out of the way as well as protecting palms if you take a fall. Good on the bike too giving plenty of dexterity. I can drive an old landcover in them but suspect they might feel odd on modern, thicker steering wheels. Use them chopping wood and splitting logs all the time now. The palms have some kind of synthetic leather which provides good grip, well padded without feeling obtrusive. Knuckle protection like all the m-pact gloves is superb as I find most knocks and bumps I pick up tend to be across the knuckle line. Also use them for DIY, similar to a framers glove you've got fingers free for the fiddly stuff. I've worn them out doors all year - not too hot to run in the summer and the padding and protection offer surprisingly good wind resistance in the winter (though obviously cold fingers). They're cheap and you can chuck them in the washing machine and they come up like new.
