Designed primarily to be attached to tactical kit and bags,, Maxpedition's MONKEY ADMIN POUCH solves many of the problems plaguing admin pouches currently on the market while optimizing carry capacity in a compact and organized package. This innovative accessory also makes for a great organizer when attached to any of Maxpedition's bags or packs.
It's a neat little pouch, with a sturdy hook and loop closure, with MOLLE webbing on the rear. Have a look at the photos - it's amazing how much you can fit in one of these.

I bought a Monkey to accommodate a Hazard4 Velcro ID holder, which was slightly too wide, but worked ok, I use mine as a belt pouch, attached with two Tacties, almost a year later it's still working fine, and doesn't stick out too far. The Monkey has tons of options, including a slip pocket right at the front, which is the ideal size for my Sony Xperia Z3 compact in a Headcase silicone gel case (13 x 6.7 x 1.2 cm). It has three internal pockets, two open with elastic loops, the middle pocket is sealed with Velcro and plain. The front is covered with Velcro, and has a transparent section for ID, which I seldom use. Once my TC-2 arrives (I need a more compact belt pouch), I'll be fitting my Monkey to a bag, possibly my Falcon II or Devildog. Recommended for anyone who needs to cart about a lot of admin gear in a reasonably sized pouch.
Usual Maxpedition over-engineering and high quality. This is a focussed bit of kit, so be sure it's for you and your needs. If you need frequent access to items then I suggest you look elsewhere. I think I can see it's original design purpose, but even so I believe it misses the mark a little. In the end I modified mine considerably and put a strap on it, so I wear it bandolier-style under jackets for high-value items, or in it's other configuration I wear it externally when it contains essential tools. If you're after a chest-mounted admin pouch, I've sourced another brand that does the job far better. I can't give this 5 stars, and I think 3 stars would be unfair, so 4 it is then.
Yet again another solid build from Maxpedition. I bought this to go on my mountain bike bag TAD Gear Lite Speed, it fits perfectly under the beaver tail flap. It holds all of my on the go bike tools. It's Fantastic! Excellent service from Heinnie!
Typical Maxped over-engineering to ensure durability & reliability. "Does what it says on the tin". However, personally, not one of my better buys. I found it difficult to use (so stiff) and the wrong size - either too big for small items or not big enough. Be sure to check the size is what you require, and that you don't need to access the contents frequently - if it passes these test it'll be fine for you.
This is by far the best "admin" type MOLLE compatable pouch I've ever come across. Has plenty of room for all those bits you need to carry but don't quite know WHERE to carry. Interfaces very well with MOLLE compatable vests and backpacks. Well worth the money & unhesitatingly recommended.
To be honest I have two of these pouches (one green and one khaki). It is extremely spacious and secure; once attached to my Warrior CIRAS I was able to stuff it full of kit including a multi-tool and a surefire torch. It proved comfortable and accessible. Attached to a 'Go' bag the pouch provides excellent storage and easy to get to space. The fold down, non-reflective ID holder is a really nice touch. I would recommend this to anyone seeking good storage and excellent accessible space.
Nice bit of kit. Police/security will appreciate it as a belt pouch with MALICE clips, also fits across chest strap of a rucsac. I also use it on the side of a TACTILE large pouch as a 'man-bag' for everyday use. Two gripes: it does get quite full if you fill all of the internal elastic loops with tools, torches etc., and it could do with D-rings for shoulder carry. However I found that Grimlocs on the side elastic strips worked with light loads.
