An accordion designed backpack that fits like a glove

The Falcon II Backpack is the quintessential Maxpedition product: Durable, ergonomic, and intelligently designed. This medium bodied pack is thoroughly constructed with 1050-Denier water & abrasion resistant nylon; yet its ergonomic shape, padded shoulder straps and sturdy sternum & waist support make it an absolute delight to wear. Further examination will reveal that the Falcon II has layered independent compartments with more pockets, pouches and PALS attachment points than most backpacks twice its size. Pull the dual-directional YKK zippers and expand the main compartment into a full clamshell opening. You'll find that the Falcon II is surprisingly spacious with room to accommodate your camping essentials and two 100oz/3L water reservoirs. Pack it up and press it down with front & side compression straps, then head out on a hike or overnight with a premium Maxpedition backpack.

      Big brother to my Noatak

Posted by lee on 10th Oct 2016

My edc bag is a Maxpedition Noatak in foliage. Which I also review on here When I need to carry a bit more the Falcon 2 fits the bill. Also in foliage as it's the best colour all round for all camouflage variants in my opinion. This bag is perfectly compartmentalised and allows your gear to be organised so everything has its place and you can find it. Even in zero visibility. It's covered in molle so you can add any pouches of your choice and modify as you wish. The compression straps allow you to pull it tight to your back if not fully loaded. But even when stuffed it's so comfortable and just hugs your back. If you need to move fast carrying gear for 72 hrs this is the pack to get. Quality wise. Well it's maxpedition... if your reading reviews you already know how good it will be.

      Top quality

      Posted by Paulhw100 on 15th Mar 2015

Firstly a quick mention about colour. I bought this backpack in brown, on the internet it looks like a washed out brown with darker brown straps, in reality it's a very dark brown with black webbing, in my opinion a much nicer colour , plus you have the ability to add black accessories without them looking out of place. All my other maxpedition gear is in Foliage which on the internet looks grey but in reality is a greeny grey, very much it's own colour, and yet again much nicer in the flesh than on the internet. Now to the bag itself, I agree fully with everything the last reviewer has said, maxpedition quality is second to none, it must be seen in real life and handled to be appreciated, it's got a last forever feel to it, and nice little touches all over it, e.g.there is apiece of very strong elastic built into the chest strap to give it a little bit of give. When the bag arrived it was flat so I started to fill it up with clothes to give it some shape, it ate up everything I put in there, a surprising amount of stuff. The only problem I have with it, is its not a traditional shape rucksack I.e. It isn't one big central bag , it's three thin ones, much easier to get to stuff rather than rooting down to the bottom of a rucksack, but I've had smaller bags that will hold a full face motorcycle helmet , this one can't hold my square lunchbox ( I now realise what an accordion style backpack is) so just think on when buying, clothing is fine but anything solid bigger than a Rubik's cube you'll be carrying in your hand. Still ten out of ten.

Worth EVERY Penny - and then some!

Posted by Blackscorpion on 13th Oct 2014

I've had this bag for a while now (black version) and it's still in top condition. It's my weekend bag, 'B.O.B' ('Bug-Out-Bag), daily use bag for work (34 mile commute on a motorcycle - in all weathers!), wild camping kit bag... etc. Some Maxpedition pouches (including Janus pouches, attached with Malice clips) are used for additional storage and 'customise the bag perfectly. There are numerous options to add kit to the bag but the bag itself has a deceptively large amount of storage ability. Any all-round bag should be bought with the idea of not how to 'fill' the bag, but how the bag will 'hold' your gear (quote from: "Realistic Bug Out Bag" by Max Cooper); sage advice. For me the Falcon II does everything I want and then some. I've still not perfected it yet but I'm getting there! Combined with HH's legendary super-fast delivery & friendly, 1st rate customer service, you would not be disappointed with the Maxpedition Falcon II from Heinnie Haynes.
