Maserin Temperino Ebony
This superb penknife is really a thing of great beauty, it reminds me of those 1950's and 60's Italian motor boats made of teak, mahogany and highly polished stainless steel. It's very slim and light in my pocket, comfortable to use, but still large enough to make my lunch as well as handle different cutting tasks all day long. The shape of the blade is perfect for opening envelopes and packages, but I spent quite a while sharpening it to get the perfect edge, and it's holding that edge well. Although the design is really crisp there is still something slightly unique about this knife, rather like a laguiole it has an expertly hand made feel about it, rather than the usual cnc finish that's become the norm. I will get years of delightful hard use from this capable, but legal carry knife. It's a design classic in my eyes.
