    Exactly what I wanted .

I was quite surprised at how good this knife is - just what I wanted a light thin easily carried pocket knife .Scales are fitted well with no gaps and a nice finish .Very good finish to the blade .Even the box it arrived in is very nice .This is not a knife for heavy duty work but that is fine as it wasn't the reason I purchased it .All I all - I'm pleased with it .

Poorly Made. Can't believe this is a Maniago knife

    Posted by D.D on 25th Aug 2016

Very nice box, but the knife is cheaply made in Every way. Before I list the problems, I know it's a D2 steel knife under 25 quid, but I guess all the money went into the steel and the rest is making me feel not worth buying it at all. Right, the problems: 1. Knife is not straight when opened. When opened ,the spine and the blade has an angle about 5 degree. 2. The handle material is G10 + wood, good material, but they are so thin that feels fragile. 3. The thumb stub is suppose to give the one hand opening action. I tried very hard, opening with one hand is just so difficult. Not only the stud is spliery, the position of the stud to the center axle is at an angle so hard to push. I figured it's just not going to open by push the stud, it's easier to open the blade by push between the stud and the handle, and use your finger to squeeze the blade open a bit. 4. The liner lock is pushed to the end already. 5. The blade is sharp, but there are visible the coarse sharpening grinding mark left on half of the blade on one side. With right reflect it looks like rolled edge, although it's just the grinding mark after I inspected with magnifier. 6. The wood is thin as mentioned in point 2, it is also not cut to fit properly. I'm sure it's not shrink problem as clearly the screw hole is drilled a bit off center causing the entire piece slightly off center. 7. They took too much steel off the blade spine in the mid section, therefore, the mid spine is thinner than the spine towards the tip. I don't think that's by design. 8. The main axle uses plastic washer. It will break with hard use. 9. Pocket clip looks awful, although I saw this from the pictures before I bought it. 10. It says "stanless steel D2" on the blade, D2 is not stanless! Can't believe they let that slip out. All in all, this is a knife to avoid. Despise the value you get for a D2 blade, the craftsmanship on this blade is not worth it. Cheapo Chinese knives are made better than this. Maniago should ban the usage of their town name on this blade.
