I wanted a small knife that was at least capable of sharpening a pencil i tried a rough rider mini but couldnt get it sharp enough so thought i would spend a bit more, I ordered purple but the knife that came was purple one side and pink the other it was also pretty blunt anyway after a little sharpening it seems the blade is a reasonable steel and will indeed sharpen a pencil, also one of the bone scales came loose soon after buying it fine with a little epoxy, So my opinion of this knfe is that is good quality materials but i think whoever made mine maybe had a hangover that day lol with a little effort its a really nice and useful little knife but i have to say the rough rider mini had a better finish to the handle pity the blade was useless this is much better and as mine is 2 colours maybe unique It is a useable pretty little knife the handle wasnt as as well finished as the rough rider mini but more importantly the blade is way better
