The Maserin In-Estro is an unusual but highly appealing design by Alessandro Olivetto in collaboration with Maserin. The Wharncliffe blade is made from D2 carbon steel and is non-locking. The cutting edge is also under three inches long so can be carried legally in the UK. The handle is a combination of Aluminium and micarta with a stainless pocket clip attached and a lanyard hole.

Oh shinny shinny UK friendly. Get one the ergos are spot on and you will love it i do. 10 -10 for HH delievry in these funny times.
Probably the distinctive appearance and wharncliffe blade shape were the USPs in my decision to purchase but I don’t think this is a pocket knife I will come to love, unlike the also in D2 Maserin Scout. The most obvious characteristic is the really strong lock-up and the associated closed tension. The lock-up strength would be good in a hard working non-locking pocket knife but I question the need in a smart pocket folder. However the opening force is more of an issue. It’s just about pinchable with dry fingers but the spring tension and fuller position combine to make this a potential nail breaker. The blade finish is a very fine brushed finish which is on the borderline to being a fingerprint magnet. So not my best ever purchase but who can say that time won’t have the same effect as with my initially unloved Maserin Scout.
