Description

A good general purpose knife for everyday use. The blade of the Timberjack is made of carbon steel, which is perfect for carving, and is easy to resharpen when required. Remember to take proper care of your carbon steel knife. Always dry the blade carefully after each use and oil the blade with unsalted oil on a regular basis. This will ensure your knife will serve you loyally from one year to the next.


The textured rubber handle and the finger guard ensure a safe and firm grip of the knife in the most demanding conditions. This knife is supplied with a practical plastic sheath.

    Wanted a smaller/lighter fixed blade pack knife that did everything required of it but wouldn't break the bank if it rolled off down a massive gully..i have an illogical dislike of Mora knives (except.M2000 and Kansbol) and Hultafors are great toolbox knives so they're staying there. That leaves Marttiini. As far as plastic and rubber handles go, this is the closest you can get to perfect. We'll textured, grippy, good effective guard, ergonomic. 90° spine. The blades razor sharp great carbon steel and the blades a great shape for outdoor use. The sheath will probably be replaced in the future so not an issue but does its job. Only complaint is I didn't get one sooner.

    Better than a Mora

    Its a very close call, but this Marttiini just wins for me over the equivalent Mora as a field knife, and I was happy to pay the extra. Ever worked with a wet Companion without gloves? then you'll know why the more aggressive grip, finger guard and jimping are worthwhile. Not seen one of these destruction tested, but am confident in this company's provenence. Guess I'll reserve my final judgement for 10 to 20 years or so. I must say that Heinnie Haynes are now one of my go-to sources based on outstanding range, availability, price and service. Big thanks and well done to Julie and the Team.

    Iam a big Mora fan & my companion is on its last leggs so fancied something different as ive been having trouble keeping my hand from slipping forward on the companion,wanted something with bigger finger guard & choose this timber jack.IAM IN LOVE AGAIN,so so sharp,perfect in hand wet or dry,beutiful mirror finished edge & better sheath than expected.Beutiful tool & my new outdoor No,1.....5 stars.....Thank you HH,(amazing).x.

    Sharpest knife you'll hold!

    Just received this today but I can already tell it's a winner, It comes shaving sharp from the factory and cuts through wood like butter, which is what it's designed for. The knife will be a fantastic whittler, it cuts dried birch easily, with its single bevel scandi grind, It will be easy to maintain. Fantastic knife for bushcraft!
