nice basic set that works as it should for me, compass not as acurate as me G shock but I didnt expect it to. Ferro is bigger than thought and throws of spome good sparks, nice design scrapper. Simple whistle, harder you blow the louder it is. Cracking for youngsters building their gear up. Cheers HH for spot on service as I expect, keep up the good work Tony

Don't waste your money! Firesteel fell apart when opening the packaging, whistle is about as loud as an asthmatic hamster and the compass points anywhere but north! Only useful bit is the cheap string for tying the rest to brick before chucking it all in the pond. Tip top delivery from Heinnie as usual. - one thing you can never fault :)

Was buying something else and I saw this and frankly at under £8 I wasn't expecting a lot. I've just been pleasantly surprised. Firesteel: Lot bigger than I expected. Compass: Accurate, bubble free and has a rotating graduated bezel. Takes the guesswork out navigation. Whistle: Standard metal whistle except: It has two grooves cut into the base. Makes for a better grip. Not a big issue but a nice touch. Neck cord: very high quality. If I have a minor complaint it is that there is no light but that is easily fixed. So, one of these and the Marbles matchcase with a few matches, some tinder and perhaps a few hooks some line etc and you can do yourself proud. If your on a budget buy this, if you ain't buy one anyway. You won't regret it.
