This is a well constructed no frills compass. If you want to find your find your magnetic bearings you will not do much better than this tool. If I need precise coordinates, I’ll use my Cammenga or Suunto. Absolutely first rate service from Heinnie Haynes.
I carry a Marbles large pocket compass daily in my haversack for basic navigation, but it could be easily carried in a shirt pocket. It is well made with a clear display and a solid brass case. Unlike smaller button compasses this is a reasonable size to handle, without going all the way to a large compass. The compass rose is not damped, but settles reasonably quickly. A good tool for direction finding and a nice traditional design.
