    Marbles Folding Guard folding knife

Posted by Bob Hughes on 6th Jun 2025

Having recently bought the Marbles Folding Bowie, I simply had to buy a 'sort of' baby brother - though this one is a 'long pocket knife. First of all, 5/5 to HH for immediate dispatch and next-day delivery. 5/5 for value-for-money - exceptional. 5/5 for good looks; 5/5 for folding smoothness and cross guard deployment; 5/5 for firm backlock; 4.5/5 for sharpness (needing only a strop). I note previous comments, it is very slim, but perfectly useable, knife. I'd agree that it' has the feel of a collector's item, and comes in a nice display box. I won't use it, but feel that I could if I ever needed to. Another EXCELLENT purchase, at an unbelievable price-relative-to-quality.

    Very Steamounk!

    Posted by SLT.AMBEMC on 1st Jan 2018

I must admt I got ths knie because I saw the Case Cheetah more than 10 years ago but never managed to find one. So I was buying more for the novelty of the design than anything. And I was actually well surprised by the quality for that price point. It even came sharp! The picture doesn't convey its actual size. This is not a heavy duty knife, it is a gentleman folder, for light cutting tasks, opening letters, that sort of stuff. The folding guard is therefore not there to turn this knife into a stiletto, it is there as a safety feature to prevent the hands slipping. The knife is actualy quite thin. It has a nice Wild West or Steampunk flavour. My only minor criticism is it arrived quite dirty (factory dust/residue). As usual, nice box and storage pouch from Marble's.

    a True Classic !

This is a classic swingguard knife like the Case Cheetah or the Puma Medici, except for a fraction of the price. A true value knife, Don't hesitate if you wan't one, they are quickly sold out !

fantastic little folding guard knife, looks like a jem feels nice in the hand, more of a display piece than a edc but that said iv used it quite a bit and its always been up to the job.

I think I was one of the first to buy it from H H several years ago looking forward to owning one as Queens Cutlery was priced out of my range .Sadly the knife is disappointing very slim more of a display item Still a good looker but not a worher hard to get a good grip of. IT was 5star service as always.

    nice little knife

Posted by alan on 3rd Aug 2013

Great service again from HH. This knife feels and looks great. Sharp o.t.b. with a sensible sized handle. Agree with the previous reviewer that the back spring feels a bit slack (hence only 4)but appears to lock open securely.

    folding guard knife

Great knife for the money, excellent fit and finish, could do with a stronger spring on the blade to give it that reasuring snap, hense only 4 stars. Really pleased with it still tho.
