The Marathon Diver’s LGP (Le Grand Plongeur) is a diver’s watch with an extra large case and a high torque, accurate swiss quartz movement. Designed for use by Search and Rescue (SAR) divers and manufactured under ISO 6425 standards, the LGP is a watch built to withstand the most extreme of conditions. The LGP is also known as the Jumbo Search and Rescue (JSAR).
The Marathon JSAR is water resistant down to 30 ATM - 300 meters (1000 feet) underwater. Made from 316L surgical grade stainless steel, the JSAR is a hefty, purpose built watch that will not let you down. The glass of the JSAR is in fact not glass, but a synthetic sapphire which will resist scratches, and is coated in an anti reflective coating to ensure maximum dial legibility.
The JSAR is handmade in La Chaux de Fonds Switzerland to guarantee the highest level of quality and accuracy in manufacturing. Inside the JSAR is a Swiss made, 3 jewel ETA F07 high torque quartz movement. The JSAR uses MaraGlo photo-luminescent paint to illuminate its hands and dial markers. MaraGlo requires charging with an external light source and will glow on its own for 8 hours after being exposed to light.
The JSAR combines Military toughness with Swiss craftsmanship in a watch that will get the job done, and look good doing it.

I've had my Canadian-logo'ed Jumbo for about eight years now, on the s/s Maple leaf strap. The following year it became available with a small maple leaf loco on the dial. Meh. It has VERY powerful lume, keeps better time than my DSSD - by far - and cost the same as a Rolex service. It will probably outlast the Pyramids and must count as THE mostest watch for your money without getting something totally barmy like a Panerai something at ten times the price or MUCH more. We've had watches in the service for years - they even come in government packaging and that is NOT for show. Trusted products - every one of them. Buy in safety.
A large heavy eyecatching watch thats a delight to wear once you have fitted either a metal bracelet or a zulu strap, the rubber strap supplied is a bit too short and doesnt seem to secure the watch in place on the wrist. I go by what the others have said, great lume, good timekeeper and a "serious" watch for the money.
Built like a tank, great lume, very comfortable for a big watch. If you're looking for a genuine military dive watch few are better than this.
Very serious, very sturdy, super finsih and a real eye catcher. Wears big, but if you have above average wrist size, it is no problem at all. I bought it with the SS bracelet, and this is a must in my book. The SS bracelet tranforms the watch, making it look even more serious. I have an 8" wrist, and i had one link on the bracelet taken out. But, the rubber band is not that long, so if you have more than an 8" wrist, we are talking last hole on this strap! Highly reccomended if you are a fan of big diver/military watches.
A great investment. Rock solid, keeps near perfect time and looks pretty darn serious. I am not sure if I will take it off. Wicked fast service from Heinnie Haynes again. Great company to deal with. Love Em'
