    Not cut-out for harder tasks.

Posted by Lowry on 24th Jan 2015

Went out for firewood this morning and was gravely disappointed. I had just started battoning a small piece of oak and the handle snapped, the tang is very very thin inside and the overall fit and finish is poor. You get what you pay for...

    Giant Bowie Good Value!

Posted by Thomas on 7th Dec 2013

Giant Bowie from Boker is a well made knife and good value for the money. It's sharp straight OTB. The sheath is reasonable and is complete with stone. Very Handy. I would recommend this to anyone.

What a knife! I brought this knife for SHTF/home security and hope it never gets used. However, I can see this knife being used more than my £150+ bushcraft/survival knives at camp. Very easy to mirror polish in 15 mins. Great all round knife and arrived in 24hrs from HH.

    Marvellous Magnum!

This is a brilliant value knife - the materials are basic and the build quality is ok, but at only £38 it is very impressive. Fairly sharp straight out of the box and the sheath fits perfectly, although the included sharpening stone is a bit coarse. If you want a big knife on a small budget, this is the one!

    Impressed.

In June this year I said this knife would probably be a good value buy. This December I put my money where my mouth was and bought one. Absolutely awesome knife, would be great value for 2/3 times the price. Dropped a point on the sheath, but the knife more than made up for it. Usual great service from HH. Merry Xmas folks.

What more needs to be said Boker one of the finest knife makers from Solingen, Germany; this knife is well worth the money. A very well made, sturdy tool. With this kind of heritage I forgive the slightly over the top lacquering on the leather handle with visible runs; that isn't going to impair the performance of the perfectly ground blade. A new interpretation of the legendary Vietnam style bowie knife for the price, you really can't fall off. Great weight, great feel, great knife.
