The LionSteel Bestman 2 Canvas Micarta has all the exceptional qualities one has come to expect from a manufacturer of such class. Plus the design Lion Steel have produced evokes classic forms of the past whilst at the same time creating a knife perfectly suited to the 21st century.
The drop point blade is a bang up to date M390 stainless steel with a nail notch on both sides and a beautifully streamlined clip point shape. This version of the Bestman model has a single blade and canvas micarta handle scales with stainless liners and a subtly rounded backspine. The bolsters are made using 6AI4V Titanium.

Add to BasketI love this knife! Fit and finish is excellent, the blade is practical and the steep takes a razor edge. I would recommend regrinding the micro-bevel to <20dps unless you plan on abusing the edge. The other thing worth pointing out is that this knife looks like a classy gentleman's tool, not something dangerous or scary. I don't feel self-conscious when using it.
A wonderful EDC. Great service from HH. Delivery was very quick and reasonable. The blade has a good, firm stop and comes razor sharp out of the box. My only niggle is that, like many slip joints, for some reason the nail nick is too far up the blade, near the fulcrum to be of much use.

It is even better in real life than the pictures. Fit, finish, grinds all outstanding. The micarta perfectly compliments the bolster colour. Very comfortable in the hand with a spring strength just right. If you're on the fence, get one.
