I've been searching quite a while now for the ideal bushcraft knife: something of an 'all-rounder. I've got a Mora Garberg - none too impressed (especially the price!); a Halle but despite being a glorious looking knife, it would be more suitable for a hunter. I was looking at the Fallkniven S1 but they are just so expensive. Found a review for this knife on YouTube and bit the bullet and bought it. What a wonderful bit of kit: sturdy, sharp, comfortable in the hand. I'm torn between wanting to use it and wanting to keep it in it's current pristine state. I've had to work on the sheath somewhat: I dyed mine to a darker brown (purely a personal preference) then softening up the leather - when I first tried to put the knife in the sheath, the snap fastener took so much effort to pull around the hilt that I thought they'd put the wrong one in the box! Quibbles? I find the scales to be somewhat ... slick and would like the single quillon to be a couple of millimetres longer to give more confidence about pushing the blade forward. Despite these, I have given 5 star rating and I'm happy with the blade. Oh, the Heinnie Haynes service was seamless as usual.
