Should be included in the kit, really.
I can't see how people are expected to manage without one of these, unless you use a vice and don't mind undoing it every time you need to flip the clamp over. I'll be honest, the mount helps greatly in many ways, but the clamp fits quite loosely on the peg, so there's a fair bit of wobble, too. You won't be sharpening one-handed! While it does fit inside the case, it can be a tight squeeze as there's no designated slot for it (I have the five stone kit) and the case itself is cheap plastic so not exactly a flush closure. In summary, definitely 'entry level' like the rest of the kit, but an essential component, nonetheless and functional enough to get good results. A recommended purchase, for sure.
