Bought this to replace the other lansky knife holder I have in my sharpening kit, sounds a good idea to have a rubber holder to prevent scratching the blade and tool free tightening screws but unfortunately you can’t get the blade to stay in one place due to not being able to tighten it enough plus throw in some honing oil and the knife moves about making the sharpening process difficult. I had to replace my old holder because one side broke away so I’ll be using the hardwear from it to try and adapt it to something I had before. Good idea but your better going for the rubber free screw type holder……I put insulation tape over the spine of the knife and it never scratched it.
