Bought this after reading the review from "Willliam". He was spot on, this does fit the 7" Old Hickory butcher knife. I had to rivet the retaining strap lower down the sheath to enable it to close round the handle, apart from that it was great. HH was, as usual, exceptional! Old Hickory are good knives, maybe HH should have a look at them. :-)

I'd been looking for a sheath for a knife left by a late relative whose sheath was getting late ... as it were. This one is nearly perfect. The only problem is that the retaining strap is too long, so fails to stop the knife falling out. But that may be a function of that particular knife and it's easily fixable. For the price the quality and look of the sheath is amazing.
Bought this for my sog seal team elite and it fits perfect, but did have to stretch the snap a little to fit the handle. Love the nylon sheath it came with,but also like the classic leather a swell , can't believe how cheap this was (bargin),thanks Heinnie

these sheaths are excellent value especially when you find that rather nice knife with no sheath.I hope they may make them for a straight dagger shaped blade as I have a few that need sheaths.
My knife fits perfectly in side with no movement whatsoever Great quality and looks great!! Would definitely recommend to anyone who does not want to spend lots of money one a sheath
Didn't fit the knife i got it for, not going to fault it for that so i will review it from the stand point of the sheath alone. Leather is mediocre quality as is the craftsmanship. Unpleasant smell coming from the sheath. Not a bad buy for the price, retention considering what i can see must be stellar. 3/5 mediocre marks for a mediocre product
