At first glance, you might wonder, "what's up with this little knife?" But that's only until you get your hands on it. Once you do, you'll see how nicely the finger contours of the Kershaw Shuffle Black fit your hand, how useful that stubby little blade is, and how Kershaw's K-Texture on the handle provides an extra secure grip. But that's not all. There's also the flathead screwdriver at the butt of the knife that doubles as a lanyard attachment. And then there's the handy bottlecap lifter built into the back of the knife.

The blade steel offers good ability to hold an edge, strength, and hardness. The K-Texture handle is exclusive to Kershaw. Look closely and you'll see that the texture is composed of a repeating pattern of the Kershaw logo "k." Sure, it looks cool, but the point is giving your fingers a little something extra to hang onto, which the Kershaw K-Texture on the Shuffle's handle does to perfection. A liner lock secures the Shuffle's blade open while you use it, but also lets you close the knife easily when its tasks are done.

As a utility knife, a work knife, or just a great multi-function pocketknife, the Shuffle is a great choice.

    Comfortable little knife

Posted by Ruukuu on 13th Jul 2020

Comfortable little knife to hold and use. Sharp, and centering was perfect. No sharp areas on the nicely made scales, and its very non threatening. Also easy to sharpen. But its not UK legal carry...… damn ! But.....and I don't advocate this. Its just what I did because I like to tinker. I took it apart and removed the liner lock mechanism. It is still secure as the scales are strong. Then I tightened the pivot just a little so it did not flop open. Taa Daa !! you have a UK legal carry friction folder. Instead of the tab/lever to open, you just use the thumbstud as usual. Its just as safe as a regular friction folder to use because of the forward finger choil. Anyway. Good knife for the money imho. Tough, practical, economical - Right on!

Posted by Jim on 16th Feb 2016

My Shuffle just arrived...it's an intoxicating little knife. On mine the fit and finish isn't remotely up there with a Spyderco or RAT, but this knife is about half the price, the materials are comparable (which is important) and it feels super robust. I have zero qualms about beating on it and I think the value engineering on this one came in exactly the right places. The lock-up on mine is absolutely rock solid. It engages every time and although I can just about disengage it and close the knife with one hand, it really takes two to do it comfortably. That makes it a bit less fun to play with, but for hard use I would rather have it this way than the other way around. I will probably pair it with an Opinel no. 8 for EDC. I have a soft spot for Opinels as they were the archetypal pocket knife of my childhood (purchased on school trips to France and hidden from the teachers) and I find them really great for food prep. The Kershaw should be more than adequate for tougher urban EDC jobs. When the weekend comes I head to the woods with a Mora :-)?

    Buy one...

I've been using one of these daily for a couple of months and it's a great EDC. It's well-made, compact and feels good in the hand. The thumb stud gives you a decent one-hand open option and the belt clip is tight. It's even opened a couple of bottles... There are a lot of small pocket knives available and if you are unsure what to get as a cheap carry, then I'd say buy one of these.
