The Jarosz family has a long and proud tradition of working with their hands to produce quality products, from woodworking to general carpentry. Jesse used his family's knowledge, work ethic and equipment at a young age to build the skills that would lead to the creation of Jarosz Knives.

The KA-BAR Jarosz Turok is made in the USA from 1095 Cro-Van steel with a full tang construction. This is one heck of a tough fixed blade perfectly suited to the outdoorsman, wild camping or survivalist work. The handle is made up of the steel tang and two slabs of Ultramid. The fit in hand is great for long periods of work. It is supplied with a Celcon belt sheath.

    Great Fixed Blade

Posted by PALLEN on 24th Mar 2019

I had been eyeing either this model or a BK7 for quite some time and ended up going with the Turok.

I'm not disappointed in the slightest with my choice:

    1) The handle scales offer slightly more grip than the standard Becker scales (only slightly though).

    2) The sheath system is what really sold it to me, it's a unique design and the belt loop is connected by a reversible velcro strap (for left or right hand carry).

You don't even need the belt loop as the sheath itself has a pseudo-locking mechanism which catches the blade near the choil. this offers great retention (almost too much) and allows you to ditch the belt loop in favour of a tec-lok, or alternatively you could even lash it to your belt/backpack with cordage.

    3) The blade itself is nicely designed and came hair-popping sharp out of the box. the coating on the blade is smooth and doesn't catch on materials or offer resistance when performing finer work (like rougher coatings do).

I'm not sure how well the coating will hold-up under hard-use at this stage but I imagine it will wear-off with time.

The swedge on the back of the blade is not for everyone, however doesn't bother me in the slightest. The point is quite fine though and while Ka-Bar's 1095 is tough I wouldn't risk it with any abusive tip-tests.

All in all this is a great bit of kit for the price and a 5* service from HH as always.
