Description

The Joker BS9 Trampero Scandi Trapper Knife - Curly Birch is a traditional trapper-style bushcraft knife with a Scandi grind.

Manufactured in Spain by Joker, under the prestigious Denomination of Origin of Albacete, this is a great sporting knife for your outdoor work.

This survival and bushcraft knife is of full-tang construction, with a blade made of 14C28N Stainless Steel with a length of 10.5cm, a thickness of 3.7mm, and an 11.5cm handle, clad with two securely-pinned natural curly birch scales.

The knife is accompanied by a top quality, high strength, stitched and riveted brown leather sheath. The two-position belt and "dangler" belt loop allows this sheath to be positioned so that it is always to hand.

    Superb and very capable

Posted by AB on 10th Jul 2024

Review after 2 month of daily use. Outstanding build quality, excellent steel and tempering. Holds a scalpel edge and requires forceful action against thick branches to require touching up. A thick blade and scandi grind have a "woodcraft" purpose but it is surprisingly good for daily cutting tasks like food prep, to the extent of being sometimes preferable to my kitchen knives. I treated the handle repeatedly with ballistol and then applied a coat of beeswax. It is now much darker in appearance, but essentially waterproof. With a stainless blade and sealed handle this is a very capable and attractive all-purpose, all-weather knife done exceptionally well. Highly recommended.
