Hazard 4's thoroughly modernized version of the classic military poncho has more in common with technical sport jackets than the old vinyl camping stand-by that usually comes to mind. An industry first, the Hazard 4 PonchoVilla v20 should reintroduce a generation to the functional benefits that having no sleeves affords. The poncho can be stuffed into its own front pocket for storage. It even has a vent for drying!

This poncho is not waterproof. It is made of soft shell and marketed as “showerproof”. It is heavy and leaks, so kind of useless. I am baffled by why hazard 4 would not use some waterproof nylon as this would be a half decent product. I genuinely do no lt have a clue what they were thinking it makes you wonder if they care about the products or customers. Hennie kindly agreed to accept it as a return however I forgot so send it and left it in a cupboard so long that the opportunity has probably gone. Found it again the other day and prompted me to send this warning to others. Hennie you’re a great company and you normally sell good products but this is almost scam-worthily bad and needs some investigation as well as removing from the store - or at least a good warning it’s not fit for purpose. If you want mine for testing sent me an email it is unused apart from one wet walk in Cumbria.
