Gerber Pro Scout 600 18

I have had one of these for many years. I removed the knife and replaced with a little split washer to fill the gap. These style of their multi-tools, where the head slides out of the main body and locks in place is the best design that even military prefers because you can get immense pressure on the handles and they do not buckle. With the leatherman style where the handles are still poking out when the pliers are fully closed, you can press too hard if you have epic grip and totally smash them. With these gerber's that is impossible unless you have the strength of a trio of ancient greek deities. A friend of mine who had this exact tool (who forcefully recommended I get one and no other) was out camping with friends and someone snapped shut the padlock on the caravan. Nobody could find the key. He sawed the padlock shackle off with the remgrit blade it comes with... Pretty handy if you ask me. Buy this multitool or the version that doesn't have the knife (if Heinnie can get them) if you want a UK legal version. BEST MULTI-TOOL EVER (please trust me on this and just buy one)

This is a truly amazing multitool. When you grasp the pliers fully closed, the handles are directly touching in the same way they are when you fold the tool away to store it. This means you can grip as hard as you possibly can and unlike a Leatherman you will not break it. This is the same style and brand that military uses. It is built to last. I did not get it from heinnie but since this is the same product I wanted to share my extremely high praise for this tool. I have had it about 10 years or so.
