Good but not great
Gerber MP 600 is the choice of the US military and law enforcement ? Well not sure how much choice the personnel had in the matter but they sure had many thousands over the past decade or so ! I got one in the 90s as a gift from a friend from the US and it was a very useful tool to have and it was made well .indeed in the US it's known as the AK47 of multitools? The military chose it as I believe for the rapid plier deployment, but others say it was just down to price ? This model is cheaper than a similar leatherman tool and the quality is less too ? The sliding pliers are a good idea and they are quite beefy to ! The bug bear with this type of multitool is you have to open it up for all your other tools but that was the norm before the leatherman waves outer accessible tools ! This model was purchased as a bit of nostalgia really as said I had one many years ago and that went walk abouts ! I was supprised it's still so common as it's dated now and I believe the US military stopped using it some time ago ? The model discribed by HH is not the model offered as this one is the MP600 basic without the carbide cutters so if you buy one beware this is the cheapest one made, still pricey though at £77.95 I think these are about $40 in USA ? Would I recommend this model ? Well it's cheaper than most leatherman comparable models but it's not as well made for sure and its as said a bit tedious to use and its no wave but it's good enough for the odd use around the home etc Great service from HH but the description was misleading and should be noted
