Great EDC house knife, super smooth and slick. Better at this price so get one and keep in your cutlery draw and you be amazed how many times you go for it daily

    GANZO FIREBIRD FH925

Posted by Jeremy Burke on 7th Sep 2025

My knife arrived just a couple of days ago, so I can only offer a ‘first impressions’ review for now, and my first impressions are very positive indeed. The fit and finish on the knife is good and it has a solid, quality feel to it. The blade is sharp from the box, and being made from D2, I am hopeful that it will hold an edge well. The movement is incredibly smooth, with a solid lock released by pressing a button beside the main pivot, and both opening and closing operations are easily completed with one hand, and by means of a simple flick of the wrist both ways. It is a substantial ‘spear head’ type blade roughly twice as long as it is wide, but it does finish in a decent and useful point. I’ve already said that I only have the knife for a couple of days, but I’m impressed enough to consider purchasing another even now.

Not the work horse I thought it would be

Posted by Robin Skitt on 14th Jul 2025

I brought this knife for my tool box. Mostly for basic diy jobs like cutting rope, wire and a handy knife for opening boxes. I’ve been using it in and off for about three months now for nothing but basic opening boxes, cut some rope and electrical wire. It’s already lost it edge quite significantly and even though I stopped it a few times it’s really become a very dull blade. I used it last week to open some liquid plant food and even though I gave the blade a quick wipe it’s already showing signs of staining and pitting. I know this isn’t an expensive purchase but I am still disappointed. It looks lovely and the action smooth with locking working well but to be honest it’s just not lasting . I will give it a proper sharpen to try again but O don’t have time to keep sharpening my working blades and it will probably now just at the bottom of my tool box and I’ll look for something else.

    Lovely bi of kit

Loving this knife, for a folder I think this is very good quality really liking the button knife lock however it could do with a bit more lubrication I'm not saying it's stiff but you have to flip your hand to get it to drop down it won't do it with gravity anyway sharp out the box and I mention Sharp it also has not a 90 degree but a sharp-ish point at the opposite end of the jumping which can strike a fever rod and give Sparks so for a backup for brushcraft during this is awesome anyway I don't regret getting this and would recommended especially as it's in the sale.

A lot of knife for the money. Fit and finish excellent, feels very safe in the hand. Thoroughly recommended.

    Ganzo Firebird FH925

My green scaled version of this knife has arrived and I've had enough time 'fiddling' with it to offer an opinion. I'm totally happy with the fit and finish, blade is perfectly centered, the reversible pocket clip will (I feel) provide a secure hold in the vast majority of cases and the blade is sharp. The blade opens smoothly and easily, locks positively into place and pressing the button lock allows the knife to close under its own weight with no need to have a digit in the way of the blade. A nice addition is a silky pouch to keep the knife in. As we have come to expect, delivery by HH and their couriers was fast and trouble free - a standard other companies would do well to copy.
