FrogLube CLP Paste 113ml

As my collection grows I thought it best to think about some protection. I’m not sure what science magic is in the tub. All I can say is that it puts a nice thin non sticky (but slippy) coating on your knife. A pleasant smell so quite nice to wipe on and polish off. Cleaned off old sticky packing tape residue off a blade before making it shine like a mirror. One tub will last ages. Be aware that it will make your knife handle as slippy as a bar of soap, if not Polished off, it does lubricate nicely too though and improved the smoothness of action of my Mec-Army utility knife so it’s now a pleasure rather then a pain to use. It also changed the colour of my micarta handle, it looks darker but nicer to my eyes so bare that in mind too.. Glad I purchased it and feel better knowing that there’s less chance of corrosion on any of my blades in storage.

I bought a pot of this having watched Nick Shabbaz's on-line video showing how to dissemble an Ontario Rat 2. I haven't yet taken my R2D2 to bits, but I have used this on my Bestech Junzi, and also my Zero Tolerance 0450 “ which sadly is not available from HH. Results are excellent . Just one minor word of warning. My Lion Steel SR1 has a D2 blade, so I thought an application of Frog Lube would be a good idea. And it is, but get any on the aluminium handle and the knife gets almost too slippery to operate. This is not a criticism, more a testament to how good the product is. Frog Lube is an essential addition to your knife maintenance kit - not sure about the smell though!

I use this as rust protection on my knives that are prone to corrosion (1095 carbon, D2 and CPM-M4) i applie it to the blade and when I disassemble the steel liners. No rust on my knives at all. Also all frog lube products are food safe.

Use froglube on all my firearms cleans and protects great also helps stop carbon / copper buildup if used as instructed I will not use anything else . Also use it on my knife when there not being used

Rust/corrosion prevention, lubrication, cleaner, slickness, all in one! I use this on my gas blowback pistol and it is the best thing I have ever found. It may seem expensive at £10 vs £3 silicon oil, but putting this on cleans the toughest spots (I thought that most of which were permanent after 'scraping' off much with electrical cleaner and isopropyl), makes the pistol easier to clean next time round and very very importantly, does not leave my gun oily! This is just truly excellent as once properly heat-treated you cannot tell it is even lubricated. It simply feels slick to touch, like getting new stainless steel, absolutely smoothens the surface. It smells great and the 114ml lasts about a year. That's long enough! I am going to start applying this on all my tools and basically all my metals. Even the non-ferrous ones deserve this super treatment! As for buying from Heinnie? First time order, dispatched on the day, delivered within two, packed securely in a resealable zip bag, invoice came with two 'H' stickers and I am very impressed with this place. Webstore is excellent too in terms of search. I would love it if they stocked a wider range of 'survival cleaning accessories' like bundle packs of the right cloth and rods etc. However, overall, very happy and don't normally bother to even leave a review so I would whole heartedly purchase from this place again!

after buying high end knives for the last couple of years i realised i am neglecting maintenance buy using owt to oil high carbon steel, bought this and never looked back. it makes your tools look better when you apply a thin layer.
