Designed by Denis Simonutti the Fox Radius Copper Carbon Fibre features a new lock and opening system combined. To open press the button and rotate the blade smoothly around the pivot, to close repeat in the opposite direction...simple but beautifully effective and impossible to put down.

Not only does this new system allow for smooth one-handed opening, but the knife is also of superb quality too. The blade is M390 stainless steel in a Wharncliffe style whilst the handle is carbon fibre with copper mixed in, producing a stunning effect. It is supplied in a leather pouch.

    A great piece or art

Posted by Kish on 6th Nov 2021

This is fantastic folding knife. The radial style lock took me just minutes to get used to and it actually works really great. I wondered if being so close to the pivot point would require more force and result in a jerkier action but it's barely noticeably and the opening/closing action is very smooth. The blade locks in the closed position too, making centering throughout on point if that is a consideration for you. The balance is great, sits right where your index finger goes. The carbon fibre copper is gorgeous. The bolts and clips have been very well colour matched to the finish of the copper. The handles are also micro textured so that grip of these, whilst not comparable to G10, compared to polished carbon fibre handles offers some extra grip. I have medium sized hands, and my pinky ends up sitting on the back slope leading up to the back spacer if I place my index finger behind the 'guard' of the radial lock. Not uncomfortable, but larger hands may have a different experience. The pocket clip is enough, but no where near deep carry. I usually find pocket clips to fit in a crease of my hand, but this one sits squarely on the balls of my palm, and would therefore definately create a hotspot with extended use, but then again, this is probably not a knife you'd typically use to abuse. It came with a leather sheath but it's destined to sit in the back of the drawer if not the bin. It's a harder leather, with poor stitching, and the internal side of the leather is hard and scratchy in feel, which makes me nervous that constant use would scratch the handles of the knife. The added annoyance is that the button of the lock catches on the edge of the sheath whilst inserting the knife every time. But for me, I never expect any of these knives to come with a sheath, so if they do it's an added bonus. The box it comes in on the other hand is something I will keep and repurpose for use of storing multiple knives. It's your usual tray style box in a sliding sleeve, but a little nicer and the tray has a handle. Plus it's massively oversized for this knife. Could probably fit up to 8 folding knives in it.

Overall & Imported Knife of the Year 2019

Posted by Vice on 18th May 2020

Been looking for a specific Fox Cutlery, Suru for quite some time but have been unable to find stock of it anywhere. After seeing this decided to abandon the Suru and just buy this instead and so glad I did. Amazing knife that fits perfectly in the hand, even my slightly larger than average paws. Beautifully balanced and buttery smooth radial open/close. Do make sure your fingers are out the way before you slam it shut. Build quality is superb as it should be at this price point, the blade came razor sharp with an impeccable edge, carbon scales are machined for grip and the "copper" accents have almost a rose gold tint/hue to them. There's not much else to say other than it's a great looking knife, everyone that has seen it has commented on it. The box comes with a nice presentation feature where you can store the knife for display if you want either opened or closed and seems fairly well built and it also comes with a small leather pouch which to be honest I don't see myself ever using but might be nice for some. My only small gripe is the pocket clip carries quite shallow meaning there's quite a large pointed bit that sticks out when in a pocket. Saying that the clip itself is functional and looks great. Lastly, A+ service from Heinnie and also a great price compared to competitors.
