The Fox Libar is a UK legal carry pocket knife of serious quality. The blade is M390 stainless steel and will arrive to you extremely sharp out of the box. It is also a hard steel with a Rockwell hardness of 59-60. It's a blade that will take a lot of use before sharpening needs to be considered.

This version of the Libar has an olive wood handle one of the most popular handle materials and certainly the most tactile and satisfying to use. There is a steel lined lanyard hole to tie on a lanyard of your choice and the knife is supplied with a black leather pouch for storage.

    Fox Libar Olive

Posted by john on 12th Oct 2023

I think I got the last one in stock. I hummed and ha’d Ad I’d seen a mixed bag of reports. I had returned one item that I was disappointed with and traded up and on the spur of the moment opted for the Libar olive instead of the Livri ziricote (thanks for your patience HH). Really like it! No issues as described elsewhere. Centered blade, smooth material transitions and no gaps. Sharp ootb. Pinch opening with a fairly easy pull and a positive little half stop, zero blade play. Little leather slip is a nice touch and I can see I’ll use it too.

A lovely bit of kit let down by poor build quality. Feels good in the hand and scalpel sharp out of the box but the blade isn’t centred and there’s a hairline gap between one of the liners and the back spacer - not what I expect at that price. Faultl

    Very good but not faultless

Firstly, I absolutely love this knife. I ordered it from another supplier as HH were out of stock and have been carrying it for the past few days and have really enjoyed doing so. Sodbuster-style handle with a clip-point M390 blade - what's not to love..? Pros: - Love the styling - Razor sharp blade out of the box - Great materials - excellent steel and really nice wood on the handle - Very compact and easy to carry - Comfortable in use and fits my large hands well for such a small knife Cons: - Fit and finish is very good but not perfect - the inner edges of the scales were very sharp, as was one side of the pivot. Nothing serious but it did require sanding with some 800 grit wet paper. It is now smooth and perfect but it should have come that way to start with. All in all, I love my new knife and can see it being a regular EDC moving forward.
