The KK knife (Kolt Knife) is a traditional designed knife where the clean lines dominate the blade, the handle and the sheath. The history of the design goes back to the times when the knife was a common tool in your daily life, no matter if you were a hunter or a farmer. The knife is not intended for waist belt carry. Instead, it is intended for parts of the body where access to the knife is at best, like in your pocket, or around your neck. By offering a safe, comfortable handle, and a very strong blade with an extremely sharp edge, the non- aggressive design provides a knife which should fit any hand, and any task. The safe click-lock, hygienic zytel sheath protects the edge and stores the knife safely when off duty.
In its most primitive form the KK (Kolt Knife) was equipped with just a simple edge protection that just covered the blade. Fallkniven thought, when they added a well-fitting plastic sheath to protect the edge, that it would mimic the original version. It turned out, however, that many liked the knife as such but preferred rather to carry it on your belt, in a traditionally shaped leather sheath. And why not? So, now this nice frock knife also comes with a well-fitting leather sheath, made of a heavy black leather of the best quality.

Add to BasketCompact, practical and with an excellent edge rifle and sharp out of the box, this is a superb little knife. Although the handle lacks the elegance which characterises many of its stable mates, it provides a really good grip. I quite like the no fuss cover and keep it in a pocket. Visually it is also less unsettling for non-knife folk than many of the one hand opening folders I tend to carry round on the farm. Recommended. Heinnie service brilliant as always.
Bought as a high end replacement for a mora- its 1/2 shorter blade just suits fine 'woody/ bushy'tasks better - thicker stock gives a feeling of being really solid but will still slice tomatoes / mushrooms happily. I carry a small hatchet in the woods etc so went with this size over the F1 as it offers more control and i can carry a larger knife in combination if i need to. This is like a pro version, it has the steel guard and lam cos steel dual purpose as the thin kydex blade cover means this knife will serve as a sgian dubh with my kilt - who needs a poxy fake thing! the leather sheath is basic but functional - i wear it on my belt but with the sheath sitting in my front pocket, knife completly hidden, a small loop ithru the lanyard hole for easier retrieval
I've only just received this in the post this morning, so this is more of a first impression review. The delivery time was outstanding as always, despite the lockdown the UK. On opening the box, the smell of the leather from the amazing sheath is over whelming. I love the smell of leather. The sheath looks great and holds the knife very securely. Ok, the blade itself. My first Fallkniven fixed blade, I was expecting great things and I wasn't disappointed. Everything about this knife is surpurb. Fit and finish is amazing, the blade is beyond sharp and the zytel blade cover fits extremely well. Would I recommend this as a small EDC fixed blade... Without hesitation.
The leather sheath is going in the bin i think. Zytel ROCKS!!
I wanted this knife when it first came out, but was seriously put off by the "party bag" quality of the plastic blade cover. Now it is available with a sheath worthy of the name Fallkniven, I ordered it straight away. A brilliant package, and possibly the only small knife you'll ever need..
