The Fallkniven DC521 is a bench stone of a less common category,since it offers two different kinds of sharpening whetstone in one.
The golden side is a fast and aggressive diamond stone, while the grey side is a slow, very fine ceramic stone. Both surfaces are precision flat, which is a prerequisite for perfect sharpening results.
The diamond stone works fast and should be used if the edge is blunt. The sharpness obtained is usually enough for everyday
tasks.
The ceramic whetstone works much more slowly and gives a smoother, razor-sharp edge when necessary. For tools and chef

Nice size soon gets a decent edge shame it doesn’t come in a leather pouch but still a good stone quick delivery as usual from hennie
What a great product this is! I do leatherwork and was looking for a stone to keep my Japanese leather knives razer sharp. This does the job more than perfectly, both surfaces are excellently engineered to keep my steel cutting.
Excellent product . This and a strop is all I need for day to day maintenance. The size is perfect as I found the DC3/4 too small. Just one thing - the smaller size comes in a pouch and I would have preferred this instead of the fancy presentation box.
One of the best stones I own obviously for knives with really rough edges I use the puck then I use this, one review here says a finer grain stone is needed for razors edge no criticism to that reviewer or others on various sites but if you know what you are doing it is easily achievable
