Description

The ESEE 5 Survival, Escape and Evasion Knife was designed by Military SERE Instructors as a hard-use downed pilots survival knife. The full tang blade is forged from 1095 Carbon steel with a textured powder coating and canvas micarta handle scales.

It features thumb jimping on the spine, a glass breaker and bow drill divot for getting a fire going. Supplied with a black kydex sheath with paracord, cord lock and clip plate with fixings.

This is an awesome knife with an impressive thick blade designed for surviving the harshest environments.

    Totally blown away by every aspect of this superb Knife . Immediately you feel the weight in the hand and that is so good as it’s perfectly weighted, the handle material is so different but in a good way... out of the box razor sharp, the Kydex sheath is on point and wish these were with all of their products... Not a technical review I agree but I am totally converted to the superb quality of the Esee range... No complaints, just excellent excellent quality. HH thank once again, your the best !!!!!!!

    Bulldozer of a knife

    A thick bladed heavy knife, comes with a sabre grind. Relatively easy to sharpen. Primarily designed as an E&E knife, this comes through as the knife is extremely robust, could easily be used as a pry with a low probability of damage. Not ideal for game prep or skinning, except for chopping tasks. The blade weight makes this a competent chopper, for meat or wood tasks. Battoning also no problem. The micarta handle is comfortable and grippy even when wet. Sheaf is also a quality item which securely locks' the blade in. The size and weight of the knife really define this knife, if an unbreakable heavyweight all rounder is what your looking for, it's great. If lightweight carry and detail work better describes your needs, this knife would be poorly suited. On a personal note, in a post apocalyptic scenario- this would be my knife of choice due to its robustness and all round compedence . My hands are L to XL for reference.
