Dango Compass.
I am a massive fan of Heinnie Haynes. It is rare that I have anything but top praise for the company and its products. Unfortunately I have to comment about this product and it is not all good. The casing of the Dango compass feels robust and is quite detailed. None of the metal lines of products that are cast in a mould. The problem is the compass itself. It appears to be a £2 button compass of the cheapest quality. It takes an age of wiggling and adjusting the case to get the needle to move. If the ornate body is not perfectly level in all horizontal planes the needle won’t move. When it does it moves with the slow reluctance of a juvenile with an attitude! I am not sure the needle settles on north with any great accuracy. Given the price I am disappointed. “Nice case.. shame about the boat race!!
