    Terrible handle

Posted by Rob Evans on 25th Jan 2019

I purchased one of these to take on a trip to a tropical island in the Pacific, I wish I hadn't! I had to sell my fallkniven A2 to pay for it, I'd have been better off taking the A2, the steel doesn't hold an edge very well and the handle is far too round and can easily turn in your hand whilst chopping, I also think it's too light for me.
I would never buy one again, I should have bought a "my parang" instead or just taken my cold steel Kukri..

    Great tool to own

Posted by Wavey davey on 26th Aug 2018

It comes razor sharp out the box, goes through wood like a hot knife through butter my own not pick is the sheath is perhaps a little to tight but I'm sure with time it will loosen

Beautiful, reliable tool. Edge may need working.

Posted by howard on 25th May 2015

Really glad I purchased this, nice ideal weight and very practical for clearing up trees and bushes. The balance is comfortable and the size pretty much perfect, the full tang does not seem to transfer the impact either. It commands respect but is not overbearing. In general a totally solid, reliable tool that should last a lifetime.
My only complaint was the overall finish of the edge. It was not sharp on arrival and lacked that distinct 'bite'. Have spent a fair bit of time so far making it keen and it is almost there but it does take some patience to get it right.
