    Very satisfied

Posted by Val zefrenchman on 26th Apr 2018

I have received this blade today after ordering it yesterday. Thank you Heinnie Haynes. -The blade is 2.9 mm thick -The blade lays straight flat on a glass with no gap -The quench is homogenous on the whole of the steel -It fits nicely in the hand -Is well balanced One bad point: Arrived not very sharp (like most of knives you order on the net) and I will re-work the grind angle of the bevel in a more subtle way as I like shaving sharp knives. Apart from that, a very satisfying blade for the price. I will maybe add few modifications and send you guys a picture.

its great, and its simple... but

These are great blades. Ive had a couple but they are different thicknesses and the heat treat did not cover the tang on one blade but did on the other and it was a little kinked. They are good slicers, very traditional in style. Great value and fun to make. Overall value for money but the gand made grind makes them all unique in different ways.
