Cold Steel Spike Fixed Blade 18

Iv used this for 3 to 4 years now. Im a field archer and when iv got too dig an arrow out of a tree or the frame of a target it does the job. Sometimes the arrow is in 3/4inch or more. Soft steal I downt think so. No problems with the chane replaced it with para cord. What more can i say.

A great little neck knife really like the sheath but beware i am on my second knife the ball chain thingy that lets you wear it round your neck came apart it wasn't broke it just parted where you join it together, it happened after having the knife for about six months got home to find just the parted { lets call it a necklace } around my neck but no knife i was gutted sorry about the pun. It is worth buying one of the lanyards Heinnie is selling cheaper than getting another knife.

Steel kind of soft but not a problem. Edge retention not great due to softness. Sheath is excellent. Good grip. I recommend!

I bought the tanto a couple of years ago and recently i got the bowie. Excellent knife for what it is. I dont live in the UK permanently, where I am from i carry this concealed inside the waistband and unfortunately i have had to use it to deter threats, due to the nature of my profession i travel frequently in my home town and often with money. ( I am an engineer). Steel is ok, corrosion resistant enough, never had any issues, kinda soft for a steel but it will get the job done when its called upon. Everyone in my family has this because it is a crazy world out there and yes you can open the occasional package with it. Sheath is excellent and attachement options vary according to preference of the user. This knife was originaly designed for law enforcement incase someone grabs the firearm you can use this offhand while your main arm is on the firearm to keep someone from taking said firearm. It works just fine. Grippy handle no quality issues. 2 tantos and 1 bowie in the collection. Good price aswell. You wont be disappointed

I've been using Cold Steel knives since the 1980s and own one of the very first Tantos. These Spikes are a whole lot cheaper than one of those, but they are still well-finished, high-quality items. They are, however, back-up knives and are not built to take a pounding, like a Tanto or a Trailmaster. I bought a pair of the new-version Tokyo Spikes and I love the design. Crucially, they are grippy, perfectly balanced, fast as a snake and as sharp as a razor-blade. Just don't try and punch a hole in a car door with one!

Overall, I'm quite pleased with it. It does have some bad features, the steel is quite soft and the handle is rather small (thickness wise). That said, you really don't need more for something that is primarily a defensive blade. For what it is you can't go wrong. Also, SecurEx sheaths are amazing and the bead chain this knife comes with seems damn near indestructible! Great purchase, although I personally would have preferred something a bit chunkier.

I don't have a bad thing to say about this knife! Buy one!
