Cold Steel Recon 1 Spear Point 18

Long story short. I ordered this knife sometime ago, say three or four years, I work on a farm and had been using it extremely hard. However, after about a year I ended up losing it only to discover it two days ago in one of the tractors. The tractor had seem some hard use and the cab is a semi open affair. The knife I thought would be ruined, but oh no, the knife didn't have a spot of rust and functioned perfectly. Good hard working knife and I cant wait to beat the daylights out of it once again.

I watched a lot of reviews about this knife before deciding to buy it. Having now received it, I'm truly impressed. A great knife, and really well put together. The 4" blade is tough, and the feel of the knife in my hand just oozes quality. Really glad I parted with my cash for this.

all round solid knife , great lock up and sharp out the box . Great in the hand and room to choke up in all positions . HH service= A1 cheers guys .

GOT SPEAR POINT RECON 1 TWO WEEKS AGO,LOVELY BLADE,JUST RECEIVED THE CLIP POINT WHICH H.H ORDERED FOR ME. ALL SPECS ARE THE SAME ,CAME VERY SHARP NOW RIDICULOUSLY SHARP. LOCK UP SOLID. BOTH KNIVES TURNED UP IN IDENTICAL QUALITY THE ONLY DIFFERENCE OBVIOUSLY THE SHAPE OF THE BLADE.VERY NICE KNIVES,NOT SURE IF ID HAVE THE TANTO OR NOT?? JUST WISH I COULD GET THE 5.5" CLIP POINT,THAT LOOKS AWESOME,BUT NOT MUCH CHANCE OF THAT .. ALL IN ALL VERY HAPPY WITH THIS PAIR. THANX H.H

JUST RECIEVED MINE,ALONG WITH A BENCHMADE CONTEGO IN M4,A VERY NICE PAIR OF BLADES.THE RECON 1 IS VERY BLACK BUT THATS WHAT ID HOPED,CAME VERY SHARP JUST GAVE IT A COUPLE OF MINS ON THE STROP...NICE. GRIND WAS NICE AND EVEN AND UNMARKED.OPENING QUITE SLICK,A LITTLE STIFF ON THE BACK LOCK BUT NOT A PROB. HANDLE SITS LOVELY IN ANY POSITION AND THE WHOLE THING FEELS ROCK SOLID. I THINK FOR THE QUALITY AND SIZE OF THE KNIFE,AND THE STEEL USED THIS IS AN EXCELLENT PRICE,EVEN CAME OILED AND BUBBLE WRAPPED!! FROM WHAT IM HEARING GET ONE WHILE YOU CAN, THANX H.H

Super fast delivery, placed my order 6:30 Friday morning and it was in my hand by 11:30 Saturday morning. This knife is solid and razor sharp . Fits in the hand beautifully.

I am sorry for being such a smart-ass Bruce, but I have a real interest in the 2015 Recon series. Model 27TLCS tells me that this has Carpenter XHP Alloy Blade Steel, and not AUS-8. Hence the higher retail price. Please stock all the plain-edge models this year. Even Gerber has started offering plain-edge, how the world has changed ! Many thanks, SteelHeadSteve.

Long story short... If you need a folder knife to trust your life on, search no further; The Recon Serie Is For You. I like The Bowie more but The Spear Point one is great too (it is just a personal preference). The new steel CS use WORTH THE INVESTMENT; if you can effort one, take it asap. YOLO
