The Cold Steel Counter Point 1 is a high end folder. The spear point blade has a distinctively pronounced false edge and a lustrous satin finish, combining to make a blade that not only looks great, but delivers a show stopping performance!

Made from Japanese AUS10A Steel, the Counter Point is highly corrosion and stain resistant and takes a very sharp and durable edge. The Counter Point's handle is made from Griv-Ex and reinforced with heat treated aluminium liners, making it very strong.

For added strength and safety, Cold Steel equipped the Counter Point with their famous Tri-Ad locking mechanism, proven again and again to be incredibly strong and shock resistant.

    Awesome Old School

Posted by Dan Sharpe on 21st Sep 2023

This is an awesome old school tactical folder from the days when blades were tough and handles were bulky. Although the GrivEx (a type of FRN) handles are very comfortable in hand and the large undeniably tough blade, in what some would call an outdated steel, AUS10, is just as good as it need to be and obviously very well ground and scary sharp being Cold Steel. Lock up with the (TM) Tri-Ad lock is probably as secure as a folding knife can get. This is a blast from the past that's still just as relevant today. It's Deep Purple as a folding dagger. An all-time classic.

Came a little blunt not as sharp as other cold steel knifes but still a good knife

Such a good old fashioned looking bang up to date quality folder.

Disappointing, Cold Steel have clearly dropped their standards.

I own dozens of Cold Steel knives, and they have all been good workhorses with excellent fit and finish for the price point. Above all, one thing you can always guarantee is that they arrive razor sharp. Not this time sadly. The grind on this is so bad as to be almost blunt (for a Cold Steel) which gets worse towards the tip. The grind is uneven, and whether by design or not, the sharpened portion of the tip is not central with the double edge centre line. This gives the tip a clumsy asymmetrical appearance. Shame as otherwise the fit and finish is good, lock up is solid and the handle is ergonomically excellent. Sadly the last Cold Steel knife I will be buying however.
