haven't used it much yet but initial impressions are but having a light built in is a huge improvement over the 20x loupe i have, there is a recess that you can trap insects in without harming them i tried this with a ladybird on the wall and it was very clear

SURPRISINGLY good function for the price. And it's 20 x ,The image is very good , especially since it has very effective illuminated LED For close working

I first used a 8x hand lens at school many years ago. I got hooked at looking at the miniature world and now have several hand lenses and microscopes. This one is a surprisingly useful little magnifier. Would be ideal for kids but not just a toy. The Optics are very decent for the price and the torch works well.

For a tenner this is fantastic! Great little microscope, fitted with a small light when magnifying, and uv light as well as a low power torch (only any good for kindling keys ect). Great for a secret santa kind of gift, and certainly exceeded my expectations, they could probably get away with charging another £5-10 for this.
