Just bought these thing as i wanted a small pair of supposedly sharp braid cutters, i only use 15lb flouro and 16lb Sufix 131, they dont cut either - i would not buy these things they are a waste of money ...
Found that the design of blades on these snips means that they catch when opened fully and have to be jiggled with to make them close again. This could be corrected by changing the tension screw so that it prevents them from opening past the catch point but this shouldn't be needed, they should just work. As this is a design issue I couldn't recommend them.
