    Buck Woodsman

Some slight asthetic scratches hence 4 stars. Stealth not the best however good quality for the money. The 420 High Carbon steel with the the boss heat treatment is outstanding. Hair popping sharp out of the box. Highly recommend this blade. As with all Buck knives extremely underrated. Buy one!

    Lifetime product

Posted by Danny on 4th May 2020

When i bought this, it was a bit smaller than expected. This is a gorgeous, flawless knife. It is exactly like the Buck special, and the sheath is finely made. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this knife. It comes out the box razor sharp, and beautifully polished. And as always, great service from Heinnie Haynes.

    Little Beauty

Posted by Chris on 29th Apr 2013

My first Buck (I usually don't get beyond a Mora or, these days, a Hultafors) but what a little beauty and very well made - a quality product. I was surprised at how small and dainty it feels in the hand. Nice blade size and shape for game preparation but the handle is really small - shorter even than the Mora 440 Scout. Nonetheless somehow the Woodsman feels in proportion and I'm sure will perform flawlessly when required. Outstanding service from HH, as always.

    dont sell it!

This is a very nice little knife that is perfect for field tasks. V Beautiful finish and super light. I sold mine as a teenager and have been kicking myself ever since! I will buy one again sometime. You can't go wrong with one of these in the kitchen, rucksack or car.

    Great knife

Posted by P. Potter on 10th Apr 2009

Sensible sized knife which I have used to dress out deer also excellent for trout and rabbits. This blade hols a great edge and when on my belt so light you would not know it was there. If you want to be rambo do not buy this knife but if you want a good all round knife, get it you will not be sorry.

    My Woodsman

Posted by Glyn on 5th Feb 2008

I've used a Buck Woodsman since 1991 for wild deer stalking, I was given a Buck Special as a tip by a client and exchanged it for a Woodsman as it is a more suitable size for British deer. I tried to shrink the original sheath to stop it rattleing but ruined it so I had to get a new one made. It still holds a great edge, mainly using a steel with ocaisional use of a stone. I am about to buy the Cocobola version as I like the look of it and you can never have too many quality shiney things!
