As an addition to their popular Selkirk line, Buck Knives have added this small folder to the family to provide a simple and lightweight folding pocket knife for less demanding outdoor situations. Great for general use, the Small Folding Selkirk makes a handy companion to Bucks’ larger Selkirk’s for a quick access trail knife. Named after the rugged Selkirk Mountain range beginning in the Northern Panhandle of Idaho, the 835 Selkirk features a stylish brown/black CNC contoured Micarta handle and 420HC steel blade and pocket clip for easy carry.
420HC is Buck's standard blade material because it approaches the wear resistance of high carbon alloys while delivering the corrosion resistance of chromium stainless steels. Add our exclusive heat-treat process and you have a very user-friendly combination of superior corrosion resistance with excellent strength for wear resistance and durability. You also have a blade that is easy to resharpen. For best performance it’s harden to a Rockwell hardness of Rc 58.
This drop point blade is full bellied with a strong, thick point for heavier tasks. It can also be used as a general work knife. The top of the blade drops down toward the tip, which minimizes accidental puncturing while skinning.

Add to BasketSo I have the full set of Buck Selkirk knifes they are all good knifes for the price the small folder is sharp ,blade is virtually in the middle when closed and with a little oil on the plastic washers it can be deployed one handed ,I will say that the Buck etching on the blade seems to be a bit weak as if the etching machine wasn’t quite set right when manufactured that might just be mine hence 4star not 5 but all in all good knifes thanks HH for fast delivery .
I’ve had a few Buck knives and bought one of these based on my previous positive experience with Buck. My knife handle has fallen apart after less than 12 months. I’m going to buy something else to replace. I would not want another one of these.
This isn't a great knife for the money. Plenty better out there. I love Buck knives, but I have a Schrade at £8 which would out perform this all day. Positives are a deep pocket clip, but it is uncomfortable in the hand for heavy use and doesn't fit a sheath. Deployment is ok and linerlock ok. Not a huge amount of blade play. Buy a 110 or a Buck hunter as they are far superior to this.
