It is now available with a drop point blade featuring all the same outstanding properties that made its tanto cousin such a success but with a sturdy tip.
Designed by Chad Los Banos the slip joint mechanism is one of the most solid on the market making closing by accident unlikely.

I bought this as an EDC knife and after a bit of use I'm very happy with it. Perfectly engineered, no gaps, no rattling, smooth open and close with a satisfying click, razor sharp out the box and holding that edge still after cutting a lot of card and plastic straps, pretty solid half-lock that cannot close on you with your index finger in the way, will not open in your pocket but openable with one hand, grip is perfect for my hands at 4" wide at the knuckles. Belt clip is solid, but not too tight and the whole thing is held together with hex screws, so you can strip it to clean/oil if need be and the tool is supplied. Overall a lovely little EDC knife. The zip case it comes in is also decent with space for other EDC kit. I can fit a sawyer mini with straw, a lighter, a small torch, an emergency foil blanket, plasters and 1 small bandage and the knife in it.
What a great knife - the indent for the first finger is excellent and the blade peels open in one hand with no problem. Not for heavy work, but super handy.
I bought this knife as an UK friendly EDC. It feels comfortable and has a good weight balence. After in boxing, I found the movement had a metallic scrapping sound. I stripped the knife and cleaned everything. The pivot area was gritty and running on 3 Teflon washers (2 on one side, 1 on the other). Perhaps the extra washer was fitted to reduce the clearance between the sides and therefore reduce the blade wobbling…? I replaced the washers with phosphor bronze ones and oiled it and it now runs very smooth. The spring back is quite weak making it easy to close but if the blade sticks inside a wood cut then it can try to close on your fingers. The index finger position limits the blade close movement to 45 degrees but it is still irritating to have the blade moving open and closed, so I would not recommend this knife for garden pruning never mind any bushcraft. Overall, its fine for domestic tasks, but I’m a bit disappointed to be honest.

Well made, one hand opening as simple and effective, Boker is a brand I can trust!
The knife feels solid, sharp, very pleased
I had this knife In my wish list for a little while and finally decided to buy it and I gotta say it was a great purchase . The main selling point for me was the one handed opening which I think is essential for my edc knife. One minor draw back is the back spring is very soft compared to what people say about it in their own reviews but if you utilize the finger choil and adjust your grip slightly it makes it rock solid (but dont rely on the back spring alone). One of the best packaged knives I own and comes with a lovely nylon case inside box. It's a larger sized edc (well within legal limit for cutting edge) so carry at your own discretion but weightless in pocket. (Also the pocket clip isn't deep carry and leaves part of handle exposed)
After looking at the product for a while i decided to just go for it and I do not regret my decision at all this is a quality edc knife that packs more punch than other edc knives I own. Great for harder use tasks and is almost weightless in the pocket. The back spring is softer than I expected but when utilizing the large finger choil it gives you the piece of mind that it will not close on your fingers , razor sharp out of box and comes in a great box and includes a nylon boker case and maintenance tool included.
