Dirk Hofmeister of Midgard's Knives was inspired by the Nordic art of forging and created the pocket-knife version of the popular Little Dvalin.
The powerful Boker Plus Dvalin Folder Tanto impresses with its compact size and features a ball-bearing drop-point blade made of D2 with an austere stonewash finish and a pronounced hollow groove on both sides as a nail nick for opening the folding knife. The jimpings on the back of the blade promise a secure thumb rest for difficult cutting tasks.
The well-shaped and partially serrated handle made of G10 always lies securely in the hand. The stainless-steel framelock is concealed on the back of the handle and reliably secures the blade. The tip-up clip (r) takes on the texture of the handle, while the lanyard hole increases the carrying comfort. Supplied with a high-quality nylon case for storage.

Firstly, I'm generally quite a stingy reviewer - okay gets three stars, good gets four but very few items get a 5... this thing, honestly, is a little wonder.! I was already something of a Midgards Messer fan with owning the Urd neck knife - admittedly they're not for everyone but if you've read this far, then you're probably tempted like I was... get one, they're great Within a day it's deploying via front flipping the jimping on the spine of the blade way better than it has any right to, and out of the box sharpness is up there with some recent knives I've bought at two and three times the price. Solid frame lock - this thing feels like it will punch through a wall - I suspect I'm going to use and abuse this thing! Ergonomics are shockingly good for the overbuilt shape, and while blade length to weight ratio is abysmal; the pocket clip is almost unusable on thicker clothes - and none of that honestly matters with the smile this thing puts on my face. Seriously, five stars.
