Very good base blank for money
More than happy with this for the price. Removed the brass guard (two brass pins) and fitted Jute Micarta scales, polished up and looks very nice.

Cut to shape and size perfectly, this is the first time I've bought a blank and not made my own, no burrs scuffs to any surface, hugely impressed
Good blade blank, makes a nice knife. I'm on to my second blank having made one knife already.
It’s a big lump of steel. Cheap as chips to throw a handle on and/or grind it down to make a new design. Enjoy messing around with it.
Blade feels solid and weighty. Nice edge from the box and the bolster fit is very good. I offered up several scale sets I had and none quite covered the bird's head tang. Not an issue if you cut your own or don't mind introducing the tang to the grinder. I'm new to this but I think it's a great starter blade. Review based on two blades, 2nd one bought as a gift.
This site's best blade under £10 - good weight & thickness & well finished with good, balanced proportions. The great design makes it versatile; a good bushcraft knife or a fantastic OTT chef's knife! The cutting edge is 4.3 ins. & the blade is 5.5 ins. overall. The full length of the blank is 9.5 ins. The colour of the bolster leans towards a coppery bronze rather than yellow brass but this varies a little on the 3 that I bought. It's easy to modify by either shortening the bolster or grinding the end of the handle to a more traditional shape. You won't be disappointed if you buy this - I certainly wasn't. It's worth noting that this same design is available in Damascus steel for £35 from S*'s - Luvli!
