    Awesome little thing

Posted by Malc 77 on 26th Aug 2024

I have had this little thing for about a year,. The fit and finish is top tier for Benchmade, with the contoured scales and the excellent and smooth axis lock, that on some other recent purchases, e.g. new bailout, leaves allot to be desired… The size and blade shape makes this a superb knife for household tasks. I recently had to cut up a load of good quality carpet and some light particle board, this thing was a joy to use for the task. The little thin blade with the profile did it with ease. Yes it’s small, yes it’s expensive but I reckon it’s one if Benchmade best for a long time. I like the CV-19 spike protein pattern on the pivot too…

    'Full' is not quite enough!

Posted by Martin L on 10th Jun 2023

Well, yes... It is a beautiful knife. It's a shining example of what Benchmade can and does achieve. The fit and finish are perfect, the coating on the M4 blade is superb, and the contoured diamond like pattern on the aluminium scales is insane! However, for all of its beauty, there are two problems with it as far as I can see. In my opinion, 1 - it's TOO small, and, 2 - it's TOO expensive, even for a Benchmade! Come on guys... Give us a bit more for our money. Here in the UK it doesn't really matter how much more because it has a lock, so it's not a legal carry anyway! But, for the collector, it could do with being another inch and a half or so in the hand. That would make it easier to manipulate the lock, and also allow for a position for your Pinky finger to sit as well. I have medium to large hands. Cheers now.
