    BeaverCraft Bushcraft knife

Posted by Shane Marsh on 12th Jun 2024

This knife looks odd when you first pull it out of the leather sheath, very handle heavy but it works beautifully. Not super sharp but very usable, I wanted something I could baton wood with and wipe it and slice thick steaks and it works a treat for my needs.

    BeaverCraft Bushcraft Walnut Fixed Blade

The blade is sharp. Only time will tell the durability. The walnut scales felt a little rough. I worried about the grain filling with dirt, detritus. So: remove scales, sand, linseed oil, sand, Renaissance wax --- job done. Beautiful semi-polished walnut. A super bushcrafter at a fantastic price.

Razor sharp out of the box with a smooth and comfortable grip, for the price there’s no complaints! A real testament to the Bushcraft family…

    Beavercraft walnut bushcraft knife

Fantastic value. Solid knife with good sized grind and blade. The handle is very comfortable although heavy which puts the knife out of balance. The sheath leather is a bit soft but overall very good considering the price of the knife. Thoroughly recommend this stalwart of a knife, great value and very well made. Glory to Ukraine.

What a beautiful, solid and so well crafted Knife & Sheath

Posted by Martin Hopper on 31st Jan 2023

I saw this Knife on the HH website and thought give them a try. When the Knife turned up I thought the blade looked too small and the handle too big. Boy was I wrong, that handle fits beautifully and so comfortable in my hands ( I have medium sized hands) and gives you superb control of the blade. The blade it's is sharp out of the box but will be sharper with a bit of a tickle up & a finish on the strop. However definitely, perfectly useable straight out of the box. 90 degree spine on the back of the blade so ideal for generating excellent sparks from a ferrocium rod. The spine of the blade is also plenty thick enough for battening and a lovely thorough Tang so could and solid if you need to give her a bit of abuse. The Sheath is again beautiful stitched Leather construction with a riveted belt loop and a detachable Dangler which for me positioning the Knife just spot on, hand falls naturally to the Knife handle. Overall a superb Knife & Sheath combination at a superb price point. Get them whilst you can as I think they're going to sell fast. Slava Ukraine

Excellent value for money. A hard working tool for a lot less than other makers. Time will tell how the blade stands up but looking good so far.

    Excellentt value for money

Very, very pleased indeed with the look,. 'feel' and robustness of what promises to be a sturdy woking bushcraft knife. The width and depth of the full tang/scales are ideal for my (large) hands, and the blade sharp - very sharp. The leather sheath is top quality, in my view, with a belt loop and dangler attachment - also sturdy. A couple of minor blemishes (grinder marks) of finish on the back edge, which are of no consequence, and don't detract at all from the quality look and feel of a budget-priced knife. Overnight delivery from HH - excellent as always. Considering another already!

    Beavercraft bushcraft knife walnut

Posted by Mark Armitage on 6th Aug 2022

Now I have used the Beavercraft carving knives for a number of years now. I have found them to be excellent and much better that knives costing very much more . They are good steel, hold an edge very well and a few strokes on a strop keeps them constantly sharp. They are useable out of the box. I had no reason to belive that this knife would equally good, I wasn't disappointed. Super sharp out of the sheath, robust and solid feel in the hand. Yes the finish on the back of the blade is ground on the back and shows grinding marks however it works well on a fire steel. It only took a few minutes with ann oil stone and worn Emery wrapped round a file to get a finish equal tho that on the blade. Mink oil was to water proof the excellent sheath and a walnut oil finish on the handle and it looks as good as a knife costing 10 times the price. However in use it has been excellent retain its edge after battoning fire wood skining and jointing rabbits. If It was legal to carry this knife in the UK it would be constantly on my belt. I I inadvertently lost this knife I would be heartbroken. I will definitely buy another just in case. This knife is worth every penny and in reality is very cheap for what you get.

    Perfect starter bushcraft knife

Posted by Rob G on 27th Nov 2021

I have been wanting a bushcraft knife for a while now; my criteria being a scandi grind, full tang, wood handle and leather sheath. This knife absolutely delivers. The stainless blade has a super sharp edge and is ready for any task. The handle is rustic and feels good in the hand, and the sheath is top quality. The photos do not do it justice. You could easily spend twice as much on a knife just as good. If you get one you will not be disappointed.
